My first two years serving on the RGVQG Board has been under the leadership of Barbara Hall.  She has been a wonderful example to all of us.  Barbara led with patience, understanding, humility and concern for others.  I have enjoyed serving under Barbara and will really miss being able to turn to her for direction.  Our last two years have been very active and strong.  I hope that this New Year the 2010 Board will be a blessing to the guild.  As the new President I openly ask for the support of all members and that we all remember to treat each other with respect and kindness. This year the Programs Department has many super people coming to visit with a variety of workshops. The Schoolhouse Department is very busy with several fun classes to take. The retreat staff has been hard at work and the Quilt show is sure to be fabulous!
Keep an eye on the web site as it is always being up dated, you won’t want to miss any of the 2010 year.  As your new President, am I excited about all that is planned and the projects and motivation each of you will bring to our group.  You may call me or send an email.  I return all messages so be sure to leave one.
To Barbara Hall, I thank you for being a wonderful leader and thank you for your kindness to all.

Your 2010 President,
Susan Flarity

Send me your Bee news so that we can include it here.

Click here to see a few of the pictures taken at Fort Hood on December 16.  Over 168 quilts etc. were presented to the wounded warriors on December 16.  The soldiers expressed much gratitude for our caring and gifts.  This is an ongoing project.  Another presentation is planned for the 3rd week in April 2009.  All donations are welcome.
