The Rio Grande Valley Quilt Guild is inviting local South Padre Island artists to participate in this year’s Theme Challenge. Traditionally, guild members create Theme Challenge quilts by following a specific set of guidelines for the quilt show.

This year marks the Rio Grande Valley Quilt Guild’s 45th quilt show. The Quilt Show Board is planning a very special event and would like to invite local artists to create an original art piece in their chosen medium, using the Theme Challenge guidelines as inspiration.

Participating artists are invited to display their work during the quilt show.

South Padre Island Convention Center

Artwork will be featured in a Special Exhibit alongside the Theme Challenge.  

Set up on Thursday noon-2pm, Feb 11

Takedown Saturday 4:00-5:00 p.m, Feb 13 

Artists may sell their pieces, with 10% of each sale donated to the Rio Grande Valley Quilt Show.
